The issue surrounding Cheran and his daughter Damini had already been reported earlier. Cheran appeared to be a much relieved man after having managed to get his daughter back although he was heartbroken that the entire thing actually happened.
He had thanked the press for following the issue closely and bringing out the fraudulences of the person who tricked Damini into a relationship. Cheran had mentioned that he had a tough time for at least a good couple of weeks and is happy that everything ended well. He thanked his friends in the industry for standing by him till the end.
“My friends thought of the issue as their own family problem and supported me. I think my friends are the biggest assest that I have earned in this film industry.”
