Tamil Nadu to become power surplus state in a couple of months. With increase in the production of hydro and thermal power plants in the state contributed a lot to ease power crisis in the state for last couple of months. despite wind power season close to an end by next month the state has 10,500 MW against the demand of 11,500 MW. the gap of 1000 MW power can be adjust from the production of 500 MW power each from Kudamkulam nuclear power plant and Valur power plant.
To further overcome the power crisis in the state, government has announced to install One Lakh solar street lamps and it also offers subsidies to the industries which uses solar Power by Rs 5.78 per unit, among the lowest in the country. Such serious measures taken by the government will soon make the state to become power surplus state.
