Dhanush helped Sivakarthikeyan with his college fees

The anchor turned actor, Sivakarthikeyan appears to have fixed an escalator to the ladder that takes you to stardom. The actor first appeared in Marina, directed by Pandiraj. He later appeared in Dhanush’s 3, before being roped into Ethir Neechal which was produced by Dhanush under the banner Wunderbar films.
 

Siva has just completed promotions for his upcoming movie Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam, which is set to hit the theaters on the 6^th of September 2013. He is currently working on the project Maan Karate that has Hansika Motwani in the female lead. Siva in a recent interview mentioned that the movie would be a humorous cracker. The actor, who admits that he gets nervous during intimate scenes with heroines, appreciated the professionalism of Hansika and that he was happy to have met her.
 

The jovial young actor has got good industry friends like Dhanush and Anirudh to name a few. The actor recalled an occasion where Dhanush asked him why he mimicked him in a television show. Siva had jokingly replied that he did not have money for his college fees and that that was the only way he could earn some money.
 

Although Dhanush is Siva’s friend, he calls him ‘sir’ due to the respect he has for him. He also uses the term ‘sir’ when he addresses Anirudh. But that is just to tease him. The actor joked.

Sivakarthikeyan's treat to Dhanush

Sivakarthikeyan had celebrated his wedding anniversary recently. The actor, who developed a strong fan base with his anchoring skills in television shows, ventured into Tamil Cinema through Marina which was directed by Pandiraj. He was later seen in movies like Kedi Billa Kiladi Ranga and Ethir Neechal.
 

Sivakarthikeyan received wishes from many people in the film fraternity on his wedding anniversary. One such person who wished him was Dhanush. Sivakarthikeyan had apparently treated Dhanush with dinner. Dhanush had dropped a message in his social media space wishing the couple and thanking them for the dinner.

It should be noted that Sivakarthikeyan and Dhanush are good friends. Siva’s Ethir Neechal was produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar films.

Exclusive: Simbu's came for Dhanush's film

Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Films are jointly producing Kaakka Muttai, a film based on kids dwelling in slums. This film is being produced in one stretch and by the end of the month, it will be a wrap-up. The release will probably happen in the month of December and the team is confident of bagging many awards. G.V.Prakash has scored music for the movie while Manikandan is directing as well as filming Kaakka Muttai

 

Now, the big news about this movie is the involvement of Simbu in a cameo role as himself. Yes, Simbu will be appearing as actor Simbu in Kaakka Muttai and being a Dhanush production, the presence of Simbu makes it all the more special.

Look who is going to join Dhanush!

KV Anand-Dhanush project is ready to go on floors very soon. Produced by AGS Entertainments, the film is touted to be a romantic one, with Harris Jayaraj doing the scores. Dhanush, who is presently shooting for Velraj’s Velai Illa Pattadhari, is expected to join the Ayan director in September for 150 days long schedule.
 

Our sources close to the unit inform us that veteran actor Karthik Muthuraman has also signed up to do a pivotal character in the film. The rest of the cast and crew and the title of the film can be expected very soon.

Dhanush's 'D25'

We had earlier mentioned about the announcement of the title of Dhanush’s 25^th movie. The title and the first look of the movie will be released on the 15^th of August. The director who will have the privilege to direct his 25^th film is Velraj.
 

Velraj, who has helmed the camera for movies like Polladhavan, Aadukalam and Ethir Neechal, will be making his debut as a director in the film.
 

The movie that carries the hash tag ‘#D25’, in the social media, will feature Amala Paul in the female lead. Anirudh who made his debut in Dhanush’s ‘3’, will be the music director for this movie.
 

With only three days left for the announcement of the title of the movie, the anxiousness is at its brim. Any guesses on the title???

Dhanush, The Box Office King

Dhanush starrer Mariyaan which released on July 19, has started looting the Box Office. The latest buzz says that Dhanush’s Bollywood debut Raanjhanaa, which released on June 21 is still active in Box Office collection.

Raanjhanaa is a romantic flick starring Dhanush andSonam Kapoor, directed by Anand L Rai. Reportedly it is said that the movie has crossed 100 crore, worldwide in the Box Office.

With the two back to back hits of Mariyaan and Raanjhanaa, National award winning actor Dhanush has emerged as Box Office king of the year. With the success of Raanjhanaa, Dhanush has joined the 100 crore club in Bollywood.

To celebrate the success of the movie, Raanjhanaa team is having a grand event in Mumbai today (July 24). After winning Best Actor title in Idea South Filmfare Awards and Mariyaan’s success, its Dhanush event again.

Raanjhanaa deals with the story of Muslim girl falling in love with a Hindu Boy, the movie also features Abhay Deol, Swara Bhaskar and Zeeshan Ayub in the lead roles.

Dhanush On Raanjhanaa's success

'Raanjhanaa' has created success story at box office as well as impressed audience and critics. Going by its first week collection, the film, directed by Anand L Rai, has crossed nearly 34 crores. Ask about this and how he managed to achieve it, the humble lead hero Dhanush said, "I just did my part and whatever director said, I did it... that's all.. so whatever happened, it happened because of my director (Anand L Rai) and God's grace.

In spite of me not looking good..." on this Sonam interrupted and remarked he looks good and she was immediately snubbed by Dhanush, who went on, "so yes, it's all because of they both (director and God)." While Sonam feels that the film is made with so much love and especially they all had fun and everyone enjoyed doing the film. "And so audience loved it so much, I think," justified the actress and jovially said that more than this she doesn't know how and why the film has got good response, "I only know that we had great fun doing the film."

As the topic shifted to working with each other..Talking about her co-star, Sonam said that it was great working with him and she also cheekily revealed that Dhanush is not so quiet in real. Agreeing on this, the actor said, Yes, with people whom I'm very good friends or close too..(or) have trust..I'm lot more open or else, I'm just quiet like this." On the other hand, referring to Sonam Dhanush said that she doesn't like people complimenting her.

When asked what next.. Dhanush shared that he will wait for next script that is as good as 'Raanjhanaa'. While Sonam remarked, "I will be going on a holiday.." on which Dhanush mimicked her saying "Ya take three months off.. I'm so jealous of you." Sonam argued, "I can do only one or two films a year and I can't work more than that... I need to refresh myself," Sonam who also added on lighter note that she might even go to Chennai, to Dhanush's house and meet his family.

However Dhanush continued about his part, "No, I don't have time to celebrate. I got lots of commitments." Referring to his next project, Dhanush said that he is looking forward to his south film which is releasing next month in July.
